We are constantly looking for ways to improve our practices, enhance our team spirit and increase our effectiveness. One of them is by creating what we call “communities of change”, that is, communities of employees who inspire us with their experience, knowledge and innovative ideas, and take us one step forward.

Agile Bankers

Since as early as 2018, we have come into contact with the agile way of working, according to which people from different fields are split into small groups and work together to achieve a common goal.

We have seen in practice the benefits of this more flexible approach in our day-to-day work and how it helps us to continuously improve our services, strengthen collaboration and empower our internal teams. 

Aiming to further spread the agile mindset within Alpha Bank, we have created the community of Agile Bankers

This open and enthusiastic community numbers more than 120 members from various Alpha Bank departments, divisions and branches, who are already working agile. Through regular meet-ups, members exchange experiences and practices, to better apply the agile way of thinking and working in our daily lives.

Ithacans

Having welcomed more that 80 professionals from abroad, we actively show our commitment to contribute to the brain gain and become a reference point for Greeks wishing to return to their homeland and be part of its development.

This is why we created the Ithacans community, a team of qualified professionals who, after having worked abroad, returned to Greece and are using their knowledge and experience to shape the next day for our Group.

The Ithacans community is constantly growing, as all the more professionals decide to return to Greece and choose to join Alpha Bank.

Through their community, Ithacans:

  • Share knowledge, best practices and experiences gained from working in different environments abroad. This way, they promote a more participatory approach that focuses on the future.
  • Accelerate change and contribute to Alpha Bank’s transformation by improving performance and enhancing effectiveness.
  • Facilitate talent acquisition, by establishing Alpha Bank as an employer of choice and encouraging Greeks living abroad to return to Greece.

Dataholics

Digital technologies have now permeated every aspect of our lives. In these circumstances, we have seen in practice that data collection and processing can enhance the services and products we offer to our customers, as well as our own daily work experience.
Aiming to foster innovation and spread this knowledge and expertise to as many of our teams as possible, we created the Dataholics community, our own data experts.

Dataholics deeply understand the usefulness of data and, in the context of their community, they:

  • Translate and utilise data to draw conclusions.
  • Further develop their knowledge and techniques, through collaboration.
  • Share opinions and best practices.

This way, they help us to:

  • Gain an objective view of every situation.
  • Facilitate our daily work.
  • Clarify our goals.
  • Come up with quick and effective solutions.

Young Enthusiasts Society (YES)

We actively support our young employees and strive to offer them a positive and engaging work experience so they can develop their potential from the very first steps of their careers.

With the help of the Young Enthusiasts Society (YES), we create a warm and welcoming environment for our younger team members and contribute to fostering a friendlier culture for everyone. Through their initiatives and activities, Young Enthusiasts:

  • Build a dynamic community that enables networking with co-workers from different departments and levels.
  • Foster close relationships and encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences.
  • Offer continuous learning opportunities.
  • Discover new career paths within the Group that they can pursue in the next stages of their careers.

Wellbeing

The Wellbeing community was created to promote wellbeing in the workplace, as well as to reinforce the values that inspire us and give meaning to our work. Through collaboration and dialogue, they propose, design and implement initiatives aimed at:

  • Enhancing wellbeing.
  • Supporting mental health and personal development.
  • Fostering meaningful interpersonal relationships.
  • Contributing to the creation of a work environment where all our people feel safe, welcome and empowered to be creative. 

This way, the Wellbeing community encourages us to continuously evolve, so that we can keep innovating and moving forward together with our people.
