How to stand out
Are you looking for your first job or want to take your next career step? Regardless of your experience and the role you're looking for, the CV and the interview are the 2 ways you have available to claim a spot in our team. Check out some useful tips we’ve put together for you that we think will help you bring out the best version of yourself!
What to pay attention to in your CV
Take care of its appearance
Mind each and every detail of your CV to ensure a harmonious visual result. Remember that separate sections with specific titles and bullet points help organise the information and facilitate understanding.
Include information relevant to the role
We often receive dozens of applications for a single position. A concise CV that highlights your important achievements, knowledge and skills is enough, so that we don’t get lost in the details. Keep it up to 2 pages long.
Use keywords
In large organisations, it is common to use application tracking systems (ATS) to process the information included in the multitude of applications. How do these systems work? Applications are collected in a database. By using keywords, we identify the candidate profiles that match each position.
To include keywords that will link your skills and abilities to the ones required for a certain position, look for ideas in the job ads you're interested in.
Highlight your achievements
Emphasise what you have achieved in each of the roles you’ve undertaken. Have you contributed to the development of an innovative product? Increased sales? Successfully managed a demanding project? Put it in your CV. If you can also present specific numbers or percentages to demonstrate your work efficiency, even better. This way, you’ll help us understand the value you’ll add to our organisation, if we work together.
How to handle the interview
With the interview, we aim to delve deeper into your professional principles, experiences and skills. Therefore, you’ll be the centre of the discussion. We believe we can lay the foundation for an excellent future working relationship through mutual understanding and can better achieve this when:
- We engage in honest dialogue. We’d like to hear what sets you apart as a professional.
- You provide specific examples from situations you've managed and explain what the desired results were, what methodology you chose and what you actually achieved (STAR approach: Situation, Task, Approach, Result).
- You ask about what’s important for you to know so as to choose a job.
- You are prepared and have an idea about the organisation.
Online meetings are now part of our daily lives. So, if you're having an online meeting, make sure you are in a space protected from interruptions, with proper internet connection and sound.
Good luck!
