Purpose
As a Bank Financial Statement Accountant, you will play a key role in Alpha Bank’s accounting and financial reporting team. You will be responsible for preparing transparent and accurate financial reports that uphold the Bank’s credibility with investors, regulators, and the public.
You should be a self-motivated and highly skilled professional capable of performing effectively in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a goal-oriented mindset, are essential for success in this role.
What you will be doing
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports for the Bank, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports, to regulatory authorities whilst ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports for the Bank to TEKE
- Provide input regarding regulatory reporting and translates the regulatory impact in accounting matters
- Stay updated on changes in accounting and regulatory standards, ensuring that the Bank's financial reporting practices remain compliant
- Design, implement and monitor internal controls in order to mitigate against risks of financial and regulatory reporting analysis and quantification of strategic transactions
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or any other related field of study
- A Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields of study will be considered a plus
- A professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or a local equivalent, or working towards such a qualification
- At least five (5) years’ of professional experience working in Financial, Regulatory or Risk Reporting preferably in the Financial Industry or in Audit related services
- Familiarization with the SAP platform will be considered a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English and the Greek language (both written and spoken)
- Advanced use of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
