Purpose

 

As an Energy and Environment Specialist, you will support the implementation of energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable practices across the Group’s buildings portfolio. Your role will contribute to achieving the Bank’s ESG objectives by promoting environmental compliance, performance monitoring, and the integration of certified management systems.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of energy and environmental programs and projects
  • Assist in the collection, tracking, and analysis of key performance indicators related to energy use and environmental impact
  • Contribute to the integration of Environmental Management Systems into facility operations, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
  • Support the process of obtaining and maintaining certifications such as LEED, WELL, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, and ISO 14064
  • Contribute to the development and execution of annual ESG goals, targets, and action plans
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and engage with internal business units to promote sustainability integration
  • Assist in preparing proposals, business cases, and cost approval requests for environmental and energy efficiency projects
  • Help oversee energy and environmental contracts with external vendors and service providers
  • Contribute to awareness initiatives and internal communication campaigns promoting environmental responsibility

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or Environmental Management (preferred)
  • At least five (5) years of experience in energy or environmental management or research
  • Knowledge of environmental standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring, reporting, and data analysis
  • Strong planning, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage risks and contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Experience with project management and vendor coordination
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Greek and English
  • Stakeholder engagement and facility management experience will be considered an asset
