Purpose
As a Non-financial risks specialist you will play an active role in the implementation of the Group's non-financial risk management framework in cooperation with the relevant Business Areas, with a focus on the management of events and third-party legal claims against the Bank and Group companies.
What you will be doing
- Communicate with the involved Business Areas regarding the management of third-party legal claims against the Bank and Group companies.
- Record the non-financial risk events and third-party legal claims against the Bank and Group companies in the Non-Financial Risk Management System (RSA Archer).
- Support the 1st LoD in capturing, analyzing, and reporting operational risk events, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into controls.
- Support business units in investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Support in the definition, introduction, and update of KRIs to ensure early identification and monitoring of legal risk.
- Participate in the quarterly third-party legal claims provisioning process. Specifically:
(a) Make the relevant data entries of changes to lawsuit provisions in the internal non-financial risk event database.
(b) Participate in the reconciliation process of the amounts of lawsuit provisions between the internal non-financial risk event database and accounting books.
(c) Perform a series of logical completeness and content accuracy checks (Data Quality checks) of the claims files sent by the competent Business Areas.
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field.
- A Master's degree is considered a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in relevant roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Officer tools usage (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
