Purpose

 

As a Payroll Associate in the Human Resources Operations Division, you are responsible for supporting the accurate and timely execution of the Bank’s payroll processes in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You ensure payroll data integrity, handle employee queries, and contribute to the smooth delivery of payroll operations across Alpha Bank and its subsidiaries.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Handle the end-to-end payroll cycle, including data collection, validation of inputs, error resolution, reporting, and issuance of pay slips
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records in the system (Atomo Plus)
  • Respond to employee payroll queries and provide clear, timely resolutions
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related obligations, including payroll tax and Detailed Periodic Declarations
  • Participate in the preparation of payroll budget reports and provide supporting data
  • Ensure compliance with Greek employment law, payroll tax obligations, and internal payroll policies and controls
  • Support audits and internal reviews by providing accurate payroll documentation and clarifications
  • Collaborate with other HR teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and cross-functional support

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
  • A Master’s degree in a related discipline (preferred)
  • At minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in payroll, accounting, or HR operations
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, payroll tax obligations, and payroll processes
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with Atomo Plus will be considered an asset)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong numerical literacy
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in handling sensitive employee information
  • Strong communication skills in both Greek and English (oral and written)
