Purpose

 

As a Specialist in Strategy & Investments, you will be part of a high-performing team at the center of Alpha Bank’s strategic agenda, covering acquisitions, disposals, strategic partnerships, loan portfolio transactions, private equity investments, and group-wide strategic initiatives, and you will gain hands-on exposure to complex, high-impact projects that shape the future of the Bank.

What you will be doing

 

  • Participate in the origination, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions including M&As, disposals, partnerships, and loan portfolio sales/acquisitions
  • Prepare detailed financial models and business cases to support investment decisions and internal approvals
  • Conduct company and sector-level analyses including benchmarking, peer valuation, and industry mapping
  • Support transaction structuring, pricing, and impact assessments (e.g. profitability & capital)
  • Coordinate due diligence processes across finance, legal, tax, and business areas
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (finance, risk, capital, legal and business) and external advisors (financial advisors, legal counsel, auditors, consultants, regulators)
  • Prepare materials for presentation to Senior Management
  • Assist in the formulation and monitoring of the Group’s Strategy
  • Conduct research and strategic diagnostics (e.g. market trends, competitor positioning, and peer benchmarking) to support executive decision-making)
  • Support the evaluation and monitoring of private equity fund investments, contributing to due diligence, strategy formulation, and portfolio oversight activities

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or another analytical discipline
  • A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACCA) will be considered a strong plus
  • A minimum of two (2) and up to four (4) years of previous professional experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Transactions (including experience gained from the relevant divisions of big accountancy firms), Private Equity or any other relative experience in the banking, consulting or corporate sector
  • Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong business writing and communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations and reports in English
  • A solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles
  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams under pressure and tight deadlines
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Excellent command of the English and the Greek language (both written and spoken)
