Purpose
As a Technology Senior Buyer you will be joining the Sourcing Domain of Alpha Bank Central Procurement Management and Outsourcing Division. You will be responsible for the procurement and management of technological equipment, consumables and relevant services with the aim meeting the Bank’s business needs and helping increase the Bank’s performance while resulting in improved costs.
What you will be doing
- Contributes to the development of medium-term plans for technology-related purchasing activities in order to maintain consistent supply of high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Handles complex RFx processes of high value / criticality, in collaboration with other Technology Buyers. Effectively collaborates with relevant departments/stakeholders.
- Reviews bids from suppliers in order to identify price trends or other factors that might influence purchasing decisions.
- Evaluates bids based on the supplier’s reputation, previous performance, and ability to meet deadlines, as provided by stakeholders.
- Enables contractual negotiations.
- Co-ordinates with Operations Buyers for PO generation.
- Acts as Supplier Relationship Manager for specific high-value accounts in the procurement technology Category.
- Researches opportunities for new suppliers to diversify product offerings, reduce costs, or increase profit margins. Reviews competitor products to identify new product trends in the industry.
- Ensures that quality and value-for-money standards are maintained.
What you need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be considered a strong plus
- 7+ years of professional experience in similar roles, ideally within the technology category
- Proven expertise in Procurement Management, Contract & Vendor Management, and Demand & Supply Analysis
- Demonstrated skills in Stakeholder Management, Negotiation, and Result Orientation
- Excellent complex problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical thinking capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels
