Purpose
As a Treasury Financial Control Specialist, you will be placed in the Bank’s Treasury Middle Office Business Area which is responsible for the financial monitoring of Treasury products (securities, derivatives and money market instruments). The Treasury Middle Office acts as the interface between the Front-Office, Operations, IT and Reporting Units ensuring accuracy of transaction data, efficient workflow of information in the systems supporting Treasury products and compliance with rules, procedures and reporting guidelines.
In this role, you will support both internal and external reporting while ensuring data accuracy.
You should be self-motivated and able to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines, while managing multiple stakeholders. You should have a thorough understanding of the lifecycles of the products traded as well as of the systems and reporting mechanisms required to enable full control and supply of accurate and appropriate information.
What you will be doing
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data related to Treasury transactions.
- Perform controls to ensure reconciliation between front office and accounting systems.
- Work closely with front office, back office and IT to resolve control issues.
- Ensure proper implementation of accounting rules regarding securities’ classification and hedging.
- Support financial reporting in relation to trading and treasury activities.
- Contribute to the definition of business requirements and participate in User Acceptance Tests in Treasury related projects.
- Support internal and external audit process.
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or in any other related field of study.
- A Master’s degree in any of the above fields is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
- Advanced use of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint).
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with high attention to detail.
- Continuous improvement/lifelong learning mindset.
