Purpose

As a IT Support Specialist you will be joining of IT Governance Division of Alpha Bank S.A. and you will be responsible for effectively managing customer expectations, serving as a communication channel between customers and IT organization, and whenever is possible, providing a first-contact resolution. To ensure success as a Service Desk agent, you should have good knowledge of computer software and hardware systems, excellent diagnostic skills, and high-level communication skills.

What you will be doing

 

• Provide First level support to users, over the phone or email, on Hardware, Software and Network connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely using diagnostic techniques and targeted questioning.
• Monitor issues from start to resolution.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
• Escalate if needed unresolved problems to next level support.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

 

What you need to have

 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or in a related discipline or diploma from an Institute of Vocational Training – IVT with a 3-5 years relevant experience as Service Desk agent. 
• Base OS knowledge (Windows).
• High Level communication skills along with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to senior level technical staff, engineers or vendors during troubleshooting or escalations.
• Relevant Microsoft, Hardware related, ECDEL or Azure certifications will be appreciated.
