Purpose

As a Data Governance Senior Specialist will be placed in the Data Governance and Quality Business Area and you will be responsible for supporting the development of a Bank-wide data governance framework with the relevant polices, procedures and guidelines, as well as for ensuring all information assets are proactively and efficiently managed throughout the Bank, to foster innovation, to amplify the value and quality of corporate data to warrant compliance with the relevant regulations and to monitor the overall data governance and quality strategy implementation.

What you will be doing

• Monitor the Data Governance and Quality Strategy implementation and provides detailed updates regarding its’ status to stakeholders.
• Prepare report dashboards regarding the progress of Data Governance and Quality Strategy and presents them to the suitable committees.
• Support the development of the Bank’s Data Governance Framework and Policies and ensures its proper implementation across business areas.
• Monitor the implementation programs for adherence with the relevant regulations in the areas of the data governance and risk data aggregation and reporting.
• Setup the roadmap and indicates priorities regarding the implementation of the Data Governance Framework by the business data domains, expanding the Framework across the Bank.
• Monitor the operationalization of Data Governance Framework to Group Companies.
• Research best practices to foster innovation while using corporate data.
• Adapt all the necessary actions to warrant compliance with regulations and standards.

What you need to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics or relevant fields
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration (preferred)
• Project Management Skills
• At least five (5) years of working experience in the field of data management or risk and finance reporting (preferable in the Banking Sector)
• Teamwork spirit and ability to cooperate effectively.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Communication skills and ability to translate the business needs to technical terms
• Ability to prepare and perform presentations to management committees
• Excellent command of the English and the Greek language (both written and spoken).
