Purpose

As a Network Engineer Specialist will be placed in the Network Services team of the IT Infrastructure & Operations Division of Alpha Bank and you will be responsible for the maintenance and
support of the network systems and infrastructure. You will monitor the performance and availability of the network and will perform capacity planning, while analyzing network trends.

What you will be doing

Configure and managenetwork surveillance applications and network equipment.
Performe network supervision.
Drafttechnical specifications (in collaboration with business representatives, IT application administrators and Project Managers).
Evaluate vendor solutions.
Performe maintenance on the systems’ hardware and software as well as on the related infrastructure.

What you need to have

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Engineering, Mathematics or in any other related discipline.
Up to three (3) years of working experience in the implementation and management of data-voice networks.
Excellent knowledge of network communication protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, IPsec).
Knowledge of routing and switching network protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, etc.).
Knowledge of Wi-Fi networks.
Configure and manage network equipment.
Configure and manage network surveillance applications and network equipment.
A postgraduate degree in Computer Science or in a relevant IT discipline is desirable.
A certification in the corresponding technologies and especially in CISCO equipment (CCNA, CCNP)will be considered an asset.
Experience with Network Load Balancing and Higher-Level Protocols (http, https, etc.) is desirable.
