Special Notice on personal data processing of users of the digital assistant of the website https://careers.alpha.gr

The public limited banking company with the corporate name “ALPHA BANK SOCIETE ANONYME”, registered in Athens (40 Stadiou Street, 10564), General Commercial Register (GEMI) number 159029160000 (hereinafter “the Bank”), through its website https://careers.alpha.gr, offers every adult natural person who visits this website (hereinafter “the User”), the possibility to use, free of charge, the informational and advisory service of the Digital Assistant (chatbot) (hereinafter “the Service”), in accordance with the Service terms of use.

The processing of the User's personal data by the Bank, in its capacity as Data Controller, is governed by this notice, which applies alongside and in addition to the Personal Data Protection Policy applicable to the careers.alpha.gr website, as posted thereon (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy”).

The Bank collects and processes the following personal data of the User, to allow it to provide the Service:

i) Device data, such as the URL address of the website from which the User visits careers.alpha.gr, the date and time of the visit, the operating system of the device and the browser used. The above (i) data are retained by the Bank for a period of five (5) years, in accordance with what is stated in clause 6 of the Privacy Policy.

ii) The IP address of the User’s device, which is deleted immediately after the end of the chat with the User and is not retained by the Bank.

iii) The questions submitted by the User via the Service and the relevant answers provided by the Bank, along with the submission times (date and time). The above (iii) data are retained by the Bank for a period of six (6) months.

After the expiry of the above time periods, the Bank immediately proceeds with deleting the above personal data of the User, which it collected and processed within the context of the Service.

The purpose for which the Bank processes the above User data is to enable answers to be provided to the questions the User poses, to improve and enrich the Service, to investigate and resolve technical issues within the context of providing the Service, to safeguard security and to investigate any fraud or other breaches relating to the careers.alpha.gr website or/and the Service. The legal basis for the above processing activities is the Bank’s legitimate interest, which in these cases clearly takes precedence over the rights of users (Article 6(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data).

Users are advised not to enter, in the course of using the Service, any offensive, abusive or defamatory content, any other personal data, such as their ID card number, phone number, details of their professional LinkedIn profile or information from other social networks, their access credentials to systems and applications, or any special categories of data, such as health-related data, data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs or membership in trade unions. The above data will never be requested by the Bank within the context of using the Service, are not required for the operation and use of the Service, and in case the User enters them, the Bank will delete them, without any further processing.

Where the User provides the personal data of third parties within the context of using the Service, the user is required to have informed those persons beforehand and obtained their consent, if such consent is necessary.

The User is hereby informed that, within the context of the Service, the Bank uses an Artificial Intelligence system, with which the User interacts.

In any case, through the Artificial Intelligence system used within the context of the Service, the Bank does not make decisions relating to the Users, its job applicants or its employees, nor does it carry out profiling based on the data being processed. Furthermore, the use of Artificial Intelligence within the context of the Service has no impact on working conditions, selection, recruitment or the evaluation of Users, job applicants to the Bank or its employees.

For exercising the User’s rights, as well as for information regarding the Data Controller and the Data Protection Officer of the Bank, the recipients and other details concerning the processing and protection of the User’s personal data, the User may refer to the Privacy Policy.
