Purpose
As a Non Financial Risks Control Specialist (Data Analytics), you will be responsible for leveraging expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to support identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks within the Bank.
What you will be doing
Collect, clean and preprocess data from various sources, including internal databases and external data feeds.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to operational risk.
Develop and implement predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques to assess operational risk factors. More specifically, create models for early warning triggers, fraud detection, and anomaly detection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess operational risk across different business areas.
Generate reports and dashboards to communicate risk insights to senior management and regulatory authorities.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations (eg. Basel III, CCAR, etc.). Assist in the development of risk data governance frameworks.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and optimizations within the Operational Risk area.
Stay abreast with emerging data science and technology trends to enhance operational risk management practices.
What you need to have
A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or related).
A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in any of the abovementioned disciplines.
Up to 5 (five) years of professional experience in relevant roles
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Expertise in the use of analytics tools such as SAS, SPSS Modeler/Statistics, Qlik.
Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
