Purpose

As a Bank Financial Statement Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Bank’s Financial Statements according to the International Accounting Standards (IAS).


 

What you will be doing

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements for the Bank and Holding companies, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
  • Conduct accounting entries and prepare the Bank’s Annual Financial Statements, ensuring strong level of control is maintained.
  • Participate in reconciling Bank accounts, including checking, savings, and investment accounts, to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and there are no discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update the Bank’s general ledger, recording all financial transactions and ensuring they are correctly categorized and posted.
  • Assist in Statutory Audits on matters arising during the audit process for the Bank’s Financial Statements.


 

What you need to have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
  •  A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or relevant field will be considered a plus.
  • One to three (1-3) years of professional experience in Financial, Regulatory or Risk Reporting and Audit related services.
