Purpose
As a Bank Secrecy Officer, you will support the assessment and handling of requests related to bank secrecy and the disclosure of customer information to authorized third parties, ensuring compliance with the applicable institutional and regulatory framework while providing guidance to the Bank’s Branch Network.
What you will be doing
- Assess new products and services for compliance with the institutional framework governing bank secrecy, identifying related risks and supporting relevant initiatives with key internal and external stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to the Branch Network on bank secrecy matters and requests from third parties falling within the relevant regulatory framework
- Process and respond to requests from individuals, legal entities, regulatory, financial, and judicial authorities in accordance with bank secrecy requirements
- Handle requests related to the freezing and release of customer assets on behalf of the Greek State, as well as inquiries concerning deceased customers’ assets and unclaimed amounts from domestic and foreign Retirement and Insurance Entities
- Provide information on customer assets subject to judicial protection or guardianship, ensuring requests are handled in line with applicable requirements
- Develop bank secrecy-related training materials and deliver training sessions to Bank employees
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- One (1) to four (4) years of professional experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, policy implementation and revision, data collection and analysis, and contract drafting and review
- Familiarity with contract and vendor management, as well as contract-related systems and tools
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to effectively handle and assess bank secrecy-related requests
- Digital fluency and a learning and development mindset to support the effective application and communication of relevant requirements
