Purpose

 

As a Budgeting & Cost Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing financial activities related to property assets. The role supports effective budgeting, cost control, and financial monitoring processes, contributing to the maximization of property value and profitability.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Prepare budgets, monitor costs, and ensure effective financial control to maximize property value and profitability
  • Monitor expenses related to the operation and maintenance of properties, including repairs, maintenance, insurance costs, and taxes
  • Develop annual and project-specific budgets for property management and capital expenditures
  • Monitor and analyze expenditure to ensure alignment with the approved budget
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports, including budget analysis versus actual expenditure
  • Provide information and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making
  • Review and manage contracts with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effective agreements
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and external regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and other departments to achieve financial objectives

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Business (preferred)
  • A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to support financial monitoring and decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail when managing financial data, reporting, and cost control processes
