Business Analyst

Purpose

As a Business Analyst will be joining of Project Governance & Delivery Division of Alpha Bank S.A., and you will have the opportunity to participate in innovative projects of high complexity, play an impactful role across all phases of the project lifecycle and deliver high value solutions. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, with strong analytical skills and imagination to solve business problems, able to perform in a fast-paced environment, and deliver high quality products within the relevant scope, on time and on budget.

What you will be doing

•  Understand business needs and translate them into business requirements. 
•  Conduct comprehensive current state (as-is) assessments by reviewing processes, manuals and systems.
•  Analysis and documentation of business requirements in a thoughtful way that allows the technical teams to build the final product or functionality.
•  Interact with diverse teams within the organization and participate in sessions with Business Units to perform business analysis and ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals.
•  Apply appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data to provide data-driven insights
•  Work closely with the IT teams to ensure technical feasibility. 
•  Participate in preparing and executing UAT scenarios to validate that the output has been built against required specifications while playing a key role for training the end user.s 
•  Develop informed recommendations to alleviate business concerns.
•  Prepares and effectively communicates appropriate reports and updates to the Management.

What you need to have

•  A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Science, or any other related discipline
•  Two to Five years (2 – 5)  of proven experience in the banking/ financial services sectors or in a big consulting firm
•  One to Three years 1 - 3 of professional experience in a similar role
•  Experience in Regulatory or Risk/Finance projects will be considered as an asset 
•  Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and professional manner (both in Greek and English).
•  Excellent computer skills, proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) 
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and experience in conducting current state (as-is) assessments and gap analyses
•  Critical thinking with the ability to actively listen, analyze, assess, synthesize, and evaluate information with problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented approach.
•  Team working and communication skills.
•  Good knowledge of Process Modelling methodologies and tools will be considered a plus.
