Purpose

As a Capital Instruments and Securitizations Specialist, you will be part of the Capital Instruments and Securitizations Business Area, responsible for the structuring, monitoring, and management of securitization transactions (both synthetic and traditional), covered bond programs, and the liquidity mechanism of the European Central Bank (ECB). You will also support capital issuance processes and assess third-party securitization transactions, preparing proposals for the Bank’s Committees regarding potential investments as a Noteholder.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate new structured finance transactions and participate in the structuring process of covered bonds and securitization transactions
  • Analyze existing loan portfolios for potential inclusion in new covered bond and securitization transactions
  • Monitor, support, and prepare reporting on existing covered bond and securitization transactions
  • Support and coordinate activities related to the pledging of loans within the scope of ECB financing programs
  • Participate in the issuance of regulatory capital in line with the Bank’s annual capital plan
  • Monitor developments in the regulatory framework, EBA guidelines, and rating agency methodologies
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including potential investors, financial and legal advisors, and rating agencies
  • Prepare supervisory and internal reporting to support decision-making
  • Assess third-party securitization transactions and prepare memos and proposals for the Bank’s Committees regarding potential investments as a Noteholder

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, IT, or a related field
  • A Master’s degree in one of the above disciplines or professional qualifications such as CFA, CRM, or ACCA (preferred)
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience and up to seven (7) years of experience in banking or the financial sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Bloomberg; knowledge of SQL and/or VBA will be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Solid project management and organizational abilities
