Purpose
As Cash and Liquidity Management Senior Trader you will play a key role in steering the Bank’s daily liquidity position across interbank money markets, ensuring optimal funding efficiency and cost effectiveness. while safeguarding compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you will be doing
- Manage the Bank’s day to day liquidity by transacting with interbank counterparties, Central Bank and PDMA, on secured or unsecured basis, to manage liquidity in the relevant currencies in a cost-efficient way.
- Monitor developments in money markets and changes in the regulatory framework, to inform the relevant Committees, prepare proposals to effectively address liquidity needs and support adherence to regulatory thresholds.
- Communicate with regulatory bodies and participate in working groups for issues relating to liquidity.
- Negotiate with interbank counterparties the commercial terms for more specialized financing transactions and coordinate the preparation and execution of the relevant agreements.
- Build relationships and trust with other banks to identify areas of cooperation and ensure adequate interbank limits to transact.
- Develop general guidelines as to the efficient deployment of liquidity to subsidiary banks and coordinate transactions with them in money market products.
- Support continuous work improvement activities and performance improvement strategies.
- Develop junior traders by providing training and guidance in areas of expertise
What you need to have
- A minimum of seven (7) years in relevant position.
- A Master's degree in finance, business administration or other relevant field.
- Stakeholder's Management.
- Mastery in negotiation skills.
- Analytical thinking.
- Results orientation.
- Full professional competency in english language (oral and written).
