Purpose
As a Contract and Performance Management Specialist, you will join the Central Procurement Management & Outsourcing Business Area and become part of the Contract Management team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end management of supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective contract governance and compliance with the Bank's procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Working closely with internal Business Units, key control functions and external suppliers, you will contribute to the effective management of third-party relationships by supporting contract execution, monitoring contractual obligations, and ensuring compliance with the Bank's contractual and regulatory framework.
What you will be doing
- Perform timely and comprehensive management of new contract requests and the renewal process, ensuring adherence to contract management procedures.
- Coordinate with all relevant Bank and Group Units to ensure the effective management and conclusion of contracts, including the incorporation of the appropriate terms and addendums based on the nature of each agreement, in collaboration with functions such as the Data Protection Office, Legal Services, Cybersecurity, and Procurement Sourcing.
- Collaborate with relevant Business Areas and external suppliers to support contract negotiations and the agreement of contractual terms.
- Monitor contractual notification and expiration periods, taking timely action to support contract renewals or terminations.
- Ensure compliance with institutional and supervisory requirements by coordinating with the relevant Bank Units for the seamless implementation of contractual changes and additional terms.
- Manage contract template requests received during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Stay abreast of institutional and supervisory requirements, proactively collaborating with the relevant Business Units to support effective contract management processes.
What you need to have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field will be considered an asset.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the financial services sector, within Procurement, Contract Management, Third-Party Management, or a related function.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and the contract lifecycle, including the review of contractual terms and support for contract negotiations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Units, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with the regulatory framework governing third-party arrangements, including DORA, EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, GDPR, and ICT & Cloud outsourcing requirements.
- Ability to identify contractual, operational, and regulatory risks and support appropriate mitigation actions.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and integrity, with sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Management (e.g. CIPS or another IFPSM-recognized certification), negotiation, or project management will be considered an asset.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
