Purpose
As a Credit Approval Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating credit requests of the Bank and Group Companies for the Wholesale Banking business areas, based on relevant regulations and for contributing to the decision process.
What you will be doing
- Review and analyze credit requests received from the Bank and group companies, ensuring that they are complete and compliant with the Bank's policies and procedures.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the documentation accompanying credit requests, making sure that all required information is provided.
- Assess the credit risk associated with borrowers and credit requests. This may involve confirming or recalculating credit risk ratings and evaluating creditworthiness.
- Conduct cash flow analysis for prospective borrowers to determine their ability to repay loans. This includes assessing the financial health and stability of the borrower.
- Collaborate with Credit Approval Senior Specialist to prepare credit recommendations, regarding Proposals submitted by the business areas to the Bank’s Credit Committees.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluating the quality of collateral associated with credit exposures. Ensure that collateral remains adequate and in compliance with risk policies.
- Contribute to the preparation of various reports related to credit evaluations. These reports may be directed to Supervisory authorities, the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, and other relevant bodies.
- Collaborate with various risk and audit departments, such as Credit Risk Policy and Control, Market Risk, and Operational Risk, for the development and improvement of credit management rules, procedures, and systems.
- Contribute to the modification and development of collateral assessment rules and systems to enhance Bank's ability to manage credit risk effectively.
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics Banking, Finance, Business , Mathematics or related quant
- A risk field Master’s degree in a related field
- At least five (5) years of experience in Banking and Financial Industry Institutions with focus on corporate/wholesale portfolios
