Purpose

 

As an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Strategy Specialist at Alpha Bank, you are responsible for monitoring and supporting the alignment of the Bank’s ESG strategy with market needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices. You will contribute to the development of sustainability initiatives, support ESG target-setting, and help strengthen the Bank’s ESG performance and external disclosures.

What you will be doing

 

  • Understand key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) concepts relevant to the Bank
  • Analyze developments in the broader sustainability context and global initiatives
  • Provide input to the Bank’s strategy and target setting, based on monitoring of market trends and the external environment
  • Apply ESG disclosure standards and global disclosure regulations to assess and manage internal gaps
  • Use data in client sustainability discussions to assess their current ESG status
  • Conduct competitor analysis with regard to ESG and Sustainable Finance performance
  • Monitor the implementation of the Group’s ESG and Sustainable Finance strategy
  • Contribute toward monitoring internal and external targets for ESG performance, in alignment with the Group’s targets
  • Assist in the creation of materials for the Group’s ESG Strategy intended to be distributed internally and externally
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Group’s ESG ratings and shareholder communications by providing relevant analysis and insights

 

 

What you need to have

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Studies and Management Sciences
  • A Master’s degree in Finance or Business Studies and Management Sciences (preferred)
  • At least four (4) years of working experience in banking, financial services, or consulting, with exposure to ESG-related topics
  • Good understanding of ESG frameworks, disclosure standards, and sustainability strategy concepts
  • Ability to conduct analysis, prepare performance measurements, and support strategic reporting
  • Strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and support cross-functional ESG initiatives
