Financing Programmes Specialist

Purpose

As a Financing Programs Specialist,  you will be placed in the SB Financial Products and Group Sales Area of Alpha Bank, which is responsible for the implementation, and monitoring of financing products that align with Small Business customer’s needs.

The jobholder will be responsible for designing, developing and coordinating financial instruments addressed to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), which are launched in cooperation with European and national institutions as well as in the framework of various Operational Programs such as the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF ‒ ΕΣΠΑ), the Development Law, the Recover and Resilience Facility (RRF) etc. The role will involve close collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective partnerships and ensuring successful implementation of financial instruments to support SMEs.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the European and the national framework related to state guarantees, grants and co-financing schemes. Furthermore, she/he should demonstrate accountability and flexibility as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This role is well-suited for candidates who can show a proven understanding of the significance of supporting SMEs by improving their liquidity and by facilitating the implementation of viable investment plans through a diverse range of financial instruments.

What you will be doing

• Participate in the analysis of market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape
• Provide support in structuring and implementing programs aligned with business goals and objectives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of financing programs for Small Businesses
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and external organizations to gather program-related insights and facilitate cooperation
• Contribute to the execution and monitoring of financing programs, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and timelines. Monitors the implementation and execution of financing programs
• Evaluate program effectiveness and performance by conducting financial analysis and feasibility assessments and prepares regular reviews to identify areas for program enhancement and optimization
• Participate in training and support activities for sales teams to ensure a clear understanding of program guidelines and objectives
• Build relationships with key customers, Financial Institutions, and industry partners to enhance the Bank’s reputation
• Prepare reports to track program performance, including key metrics and financial indicators
• Stay up to date on compliance with state aid regulations governing the development of financial instruments

What you need to have

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or Engineering or related field
• A master's degree in a relevant field of study would be considered an asset
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in SB/ SME financing and/or functional experience in Sales and Marketing related areas
• Familiarity with state funding programs and regulations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and to focus on achieving results
• Confidence and positive attitude, strong team spirit and ability to create efficient partnerships with national and European stakeholders
• Demonstrated responsibility, adaptability, ownership and accountability as well as negotiation skills
• Proactive, critical thinking and service-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in the use of the MS Office applications
• Exceptional command of the English and the Greek language (both written and spoken).
