Purpose
As an Investment Operations Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the execution and settlement of portfolio transactions. The role contributes to the accurate reconciliation of transactions, monitoring of portfolio activities, and timely reporting, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with internal processes.
What you will be doing
- Confirm and reconcile transaction confirmations received from counterparties with transaction details entered into the Front Office system by Fund Managers
- Assist in resolving pending issues related to trade confirmations by escalating issues to the relevant parties
- Support the execution and reconciliation of transactions and portfolio bank account balances with custodians’ records and the Middle Office system
- Assist in calculating the daily performance of UCITS and clients’ portfolios and provide confirmations and corporate actions data to the Fund Administration Department
- Input data into the Middle Office core system to support the monitoring of regulatory investment limits and prepare and provide transactions to Alpha Bank Custody and clients’ custodians for settlement
- Assist in preparing client reports in line with portfolio management agreements and legal requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- Up to three (3) years of professional experience in Accounting or Operations
- Strong understanding of operational effectiveness and control, regulatory compliance, and transaction monitoring processes
- Strong planning and organizing skills to support reconciliation, reporting, and transaction execution activities
- Strong communication skills, results orientation, and attention to detail when handling financial data and coordinating with stakeholders
