Purpose
As a Non-Financial Risks Control Senior Specialist (Non-financial Risk Business Partner), you are responsible to support the 1st Line of Defense (LoD) in implementing and strengthening its risk management activities. The role will focus mainly on Legal Divisions, DPO, Deposit products, Procurement etc. You will be responsible for ensuring risk identification, assessment and mitigation. Control activities are effectively embedded in business processes and aligned with the bank’s risk framework.
What you will be doing
- Communicate with the Non-Financial Risk Partner * (1st Line of Contact)
- Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs): Lead and facilitate RCSA exercises across the Business Areas you monitor with emphasis in the areas of Legal Divisions, DPO, Deposit products, Procurement etc ensuring proper risk identification and assessment.
- Key Risk Indicators (KRIs): Support in the definition, introduction and update of KRIs to ensure early identification and monitoring of emerging risks
- Loss Events Management: Support the 1st LoD in capturing, analyzing, and reporting operational risk events, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into controls
- Record the non-financial risk events in the Non-Financial Risk Management System (RSA Archer)
- Control Testing & Assurance: Design and execute control testing programs to assess the effectiveness of key risk controls in the areas of responsibility
- Risk Governance & Reporting: Provide regular risk reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management and governance committees
- Incident Response & Remediation: Support business units in investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Regulatory & Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Bank’s teams to integrate risk management into business decision-making
- Training & Awareness: Deliver risk awareness sessions to enhance risk culture within the 1st LoD
- Monitor any developments related to the non-financial risk events of the Business Areas they are responsible for and update RSA Archer Platform accordingly
- Perform various follow-ups to the Non-Financial Risk Partner related either to tasks that should be finalized or to actions that should be completed according to the initial time plan related to various processes such as RCSA, non-financial risk events management process, scenario analysis, KRIs breaches, findings by the Internal Audit or the Joint Supervisory Team or external auditors etc
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field
- A minimum of three (3) years of working experience in relevant roles
- Familiarity with Basel regulations, ICAAP, ILAAP, MiFID, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
