Purpose
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting regulatory compliance activities and supporting the Bank's business areas in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and governance standards. You will contribute to strengthening the Bank's compliance framework through regulatory advice, monitoring, audits, risk assessments, and policy implementation.
What you will be doing
- Review regulatory compliance findings, non-conformity reports, and identified risks, assessing their criticality and supporting the implementation of appropriate corrective actions
- Identify, interpret, document, and maintain regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, recommending updates or enhancements where required to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
- Conduct regulatory compliance audits, internal control reviews, surveillance activities, and research to assess regulatory risks, monitor compliance, and provide recommendations that support business operations and decision-making
- Evaluate the Bank's products, services, and business activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, customer identification, and claims requirements
- Support the design and delivery of compliance training initiatives, promoting awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements across the Bank
- Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk, Legal, and business stakeholders, communicating findings and supporting the effective implementation of compliance policies and regulatory obligations
What you need to have
- A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or another relevant field
- At least four (4) years of professional experience in Regulatory Compliance
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, regulatory monitoring, audit processes, market abuse regulations, claims investigation, and regulatory risk management
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with the ability to assess regulatory risks and recommend appropriate actions
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
