Retail Banking Business Development Senior Specialist

Purpose

As a Retail Banking Business Development Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for driving excellence across Retail Banking Business Areas, ensuring efficient cross-functional collaboration and smooth day-to-day operations. You will support strategic planning, process optimization, and business performance monitoring, while providing insights and guidance that enhance the effectiveness of Retail Banking initiatives and contribute to the achievement of the Bank’s strategic objectives. 

What you will be doing

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, timely execution, and delivery of Retail Banking strategic priorities and transformation programs
• Assist the prioritization, budgeting, and progress monitoring of BAU and strategic initiatives across the Retail Banking area
• Support the preparation of planning material, presentations, actions logs and reports for Retail leadership committees
• Support the formulation of the annual Retail Banking strategy, business plan, and budget, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s corporate goals and financial targets
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) within the Chief Retail Client Strategies Officer’s Balanced Scorecard, highlighting performance trends and improvement opportunities
• Monitor benefits realization of strategic projects, providing insights and recommendations to the Chief Retail Client Strategies Officer and other senior stakeholders
• Analyze Retail Banking financial performance (P&L), market trends, and operational metrics to support data-driven strategic decisions
• Contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency
• Participate in strategy-shaping projects and transformation programs, ensuring coherence across channels, segments, and product lines

What you need to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or another related field
• A Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred)
• At least five (5) years of experience in Retail Banking in relevant positions, or three (3) years in Management Consulting within similar roles
• Strong understanding of retail banking operations, strategy execution, and business performance management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data visualization or analytical tools (considered an asset)
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
• A proactive, collaborative, and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
