Purpose
As a Risk Specialist, you will contribute to the design and implementation of the Risk Management Framework, supporting the identification, monitoring, and reporting of risks. Your role will support the protection of stakeholders’ interests and the sustainability of the Company’s available capital, through sound risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and forward-looking analysis.
What you will be doing
- Perform calculations of regulatory capital requirements, including Solvency Capital Requirements
- Prepare and support regulatory reporting, including Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs) and the Solvency and Financial Condition Report, as well as reporting to other stakeholders
- Conduct Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), performing both qualitative and quantitative assessments of the Company’s risk profile
- Support business planning activities by performing forward-looking assessments of capital requirements
- Contribute to the definition of Risk Appetite and Risk Tolerance and support the setting and monitoring of relevant limits
- Define and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to track risk exposure
- Perform stress testing across various risk categories
- Support New Product Development activities, participating in profit testing processes and the definition of underwriting strategy
- Act as a liaison between the Risk Function, the Actuarial Function, and the Finance Division, supporting the understanding of Technical Provisions, performing data quality controls, and contributing to actuarial figures included in the financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 17 and IFRS 9)
- Support the implementation of risk management policies and appropriate methodologies for managing risks
- Lead projects related to risk management topics within the scope of the role
What you need to have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Risk, Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- A Master’s degree or professional qualification in Risk, Actuarial Science, or Finance (strongly desired)
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in Risk, Actuarial, or Finance roles, preferably within the insurance sector, or alternatively in banking or asset management
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supporting sound risk assessment and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
- Strong team spirit and professional work ethic
- A continuous improvement and lifelong learning mindset
