Purpose

As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and operationalizing AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value across Alpha Bank. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data engineers and platform teams to build intelligent applications, AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using modern AI technologies and enterprise AI platforms.

What you will be doing

• Partner with business teams to understand business challenges and translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
• Design, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots and agentic workflows that support business processes and decision making.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging vector databases, enterprise knowledge sources and modern LLM frameworks.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, databases and business applications to support production-scale deployments.
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to implement data ingestion, document processing and knowledge retrieval pipelines required for AI use cases.
• Contribute to LLMOps and AI lifecycle management activities, including deployment, monitoring, versioning and experimentation.
• Stay up to date with developments in Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG architectures and AI engineering practices, contributing to innovation and knowledge sharing across the organization.

What you need to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or another relevant quantitative field.
• At least 1-2 years of professional experience in designing, developing and deploying AI or machine learning solutions in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and good knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, vector search applications or AI-powered assistants.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, agent architectures, tool calling, context management and evaluation techniques for AI systems.
• Familiarity with MLOps / LLMOps concepts, including deployment, monitoring, experimentation and lifecycle management.
• Ability to communicate AI concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with IBM watsonx platform (watsonx.ai, watsonx. Orchestrate, watsonx.governance)
