Advisory Solution Designer

Purpose

As a Solutions Architect you will be joining the software development team of Investment Products Domain of Alpha Bank IT Core Banking Services Division. You will be responsible for designing and implementing technological solutions within a specific functional area, that meet the current and future needs of the business, in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture plan.

What you will be doing

• Designs solutions within a specific functional area and across various applications to ensure that the business objectives are delivered effectively.
• Maps and reviews the business, enterprise architecture, system performance, and development standards requirements, and develops functional, technical, and user interface designs for an application and/or system within the domain boundaries.
• Manages and leads the development lifecycle of IT solutions and applications from the initial scoping, devising, and documenting of high-level and detailed technical solutions.
• Ensures that the solution design leverages the existing components and traces back to the business requirements as well as addresses any issues that affect the integrity of the application.
• Recommends IT solution approach based on analysis of issues and implications for the business, ensuring the compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of them.
• Performs high-level effort and cost estimation on submitted project proposals and examines ways to keep costs low in order to provide ΙΤ solutions that support cost-effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience.
• Reviews vendor solutions and estimates and determines whether they meet the project requirements and restrictions.
• Stays up-to-date with the industry technical and business trends, to improve Bank’s internal solutions and identifies emerging issues and trends to inform the Delivery Stream domain.
• Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensures their alignment.
• Analyzes the functionality and constraints of recommended solutions/changes across multiple systems/ platforms/ applications.
• Leverages cloud computing platforms and services as well as experience regarding database management and DevOps practices to deliver scalable software solutions.

What you need to have

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any other related discipline.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices for building modular and maintainable systems.
• Experience in designing scalable and resilient systems that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
• Experience in leading, planning, executing, and managing projects.
• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in architecture patterns, API security, and related industry standards.
• Experience in DevOps and Agile methods and practices.
• Fluency in English language, both written & verbal.
• Prior experience in a banking environment will be considered a plus.
