Purpose

As a Functional Analysis Specialist, you will join the IT Financial Services team within the IT Core Banking Services Division. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing end-to-end solutions and ensuring the effective integration of information across multiple systems. Working closely with Business Units and IT stakeholders, you will support technology initiatives related to banking accounting operations, contributing to the enhancement and transformation of the Bank’s systems and processes.

What you will be doing

  • Manage and coordinate stakeholders and stakeholder requirements.
  • Propose innovative solutions to existing challenges, in line with technological developments and established architecture principles.
  • Coordinate, assign and monitor work across decentralized and dynamic development teams.
  • Collaborate with Business Units to understand new business needs and document Functional Specifications for the implementation of new applications, transactions and products.
  • Understand the existing technology landscape and promote solution reusability.
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop coherent and ambitious project plans.
  • Create Operating Manuals and provide day-to-day functional support, application administration and troubleshooting (L2).
  • Ensure adherence to applicable standards, procedures, guidelines and methodologies in the implementation and maintenance of Core Banking Applications.
  • Play an active role in the Bank’s planned SAP ERP transition to S/4HANA, contributing to a major transformation initiative that will require sustained engagement over the next 2–3 years.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other related discipline.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector, preferably within an IT environment; experience in Deposits and Payments will be considered an asset.
  • Good understanding of banking accounting operations, including GL accounts reconciliation processes, while knowledge of IT accounting systems will be considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP ERP, S/4HANA, SAP Bank Analyzer (FPSL) and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) will be considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
