IT Account Manager

Purpose

As an IT Account Manager, you will join the IT Governance unit and act as the strategic interface between Business and IT. You will be responsible for partnering with Business Executives and C-level stakeholders to understand and influence business strategy, facilitate business ideation and identify technology-enabled opportunities that support the Bank’s strategic objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will challenge, refine and mature business demands by balancing business ambitions with technology capabilities, architectural principles and delivery considerations. You will ensure that business initiatives are translated into well-defined, value-driven technology investments, fostering alignment between business priorities, enterprise strategy and IT execution

What you will be doing

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders and C-level executives, becoming the primary strategic advisor for the Business Units under your responsibility.
• Facilitate business ideation and strategic planning discussions, identifying opportunities where technology can accelerate business growth, operational efficiency and customer value.
• Influence technology investment decisions by providing insights on business value, strategic alignment, technical feasibility and organizational readiness.
• Shape, challenge and mature business demands, ensuring that proposed initiatives are aligned with enterprise architecture principles, technology capabilities and delivery constraints.
• Guide stakeholders through the early stages of the demand lifecycle, providing IT perspective, feasibility, dependencies, synergies and high-level solution approaches in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of business strategies, priorities, operating models and regulatory challenges to proactively identify technology-enabled opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Domain Managers, Domain Leaders, Service Heads and delivery teams to ensure alignment between business expectations, portfolio priorities and implementation roadmaps.
• Maintain visibility over ongoing and upcoming technology initiatives across assigned Business Units, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and investment priorities.
• Promote a culture of partnership, transparency and continuous improvement between Business and IT functions.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and market developments to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to business stakeholders.

What you need to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline will be considered an asset.
• 7+ years of experience in IT consulting, business relationship management, digital transformation, technology strategy or business technology management.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and executive stakeholders in strategic decision-making and technology investment discussions.
• Strong understanding of business strategy development, operating models and digital transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in demand management, portfolio planning and business capability development.
• Solid understanding of enterprise technology capabilities, solution delivery models and technology governance practices.
• Strong business acumen combined with analytical and critical thinking capabilities to evaluate complex business challenges and identify technology-enabled solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strategic partnerships across all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to balance business expectations, technology constraints, risk considerations and delivery capacity.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on value realization, innovation and organizational effectiveness.
