Senior Functional Engineer

Purpose

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will join the Bank’s Business Intelligence and Reporting Domain within the IT Digital Services and Data Analytics Division. You will act as the primary liaison between Business Units and technical teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, overseeing BI-related projects, and ensuring compliance with quality and security standards. You will also assume the role of Solution Lead, managing the lifecycle of BI initiatives, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful delivery through project management and user acceptance testing (UAT). 

What you will be doing

Service & Business Analysis
•    Act as the main contact point with Business Units for BI-related applications and services.
•    Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring completeness and clarity.
•    Collaborate with Account Managers to align business needs with BI solutions.
•    Manage requests and incidents through Service Management tools (e.g., SMAX), ensuring proper tracking and resolution.
Project & Resource Management
•    Manage BI projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to delivery.
•    Monitor resources, capacity, and project timelines to ensure successful completion.
•    Use PPM and project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Trello) to track deliverables and team performance.
•    Define and monitor KPIs for efficiency, quality, and business goal achievement.
Solution Leadership & Quality Assurance
•    Lead the functional design and preparation of deliverables (functional specs, prototypes, test scripts, UAT scenarios).
•    Oversee UAT execution, ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
•    Support Data Engineers and technical teams with functional insights during design and testing.
Reporting & Communication
•    Prepare and present reports on KPIs, project status, and domain performance to management.

What you need to have

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
•    At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, functional design, or project management within IT or BI environments.
•    Strong knowledge of Service Management frameworks (ITIL), incident/request management, and project portfolio management tools (SMAX, PPM).
•    Hands-on experience with Project Management tools (Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
•    Good knowledge of data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI) for reporting and KPI monitoring.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
•    Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Certifications (considered a strong plus):
•    ITIL for Service Management.
•    PMP® / PRINCE2® for Project Management.
•    ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 certification.
