Treasury Operations Team Leader

Purpose

As a Treasury Operations Team Leader, you will join the Payments & Investments Operations Business Area, where you will lead day-to-day operations across treasury and derivative products, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service delivery.

What you will be doing

• Coordinate the proper utilization of relevant tools by the Treasury Operations team for finance and reporting purposes.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy in operational processing, clearance and settlements for financial instruments such as foreign exchange and derivatives products.
• Ensure the proper documentation of treasury and derivatives operations processes.
• Approve financial transactions within your approval limits in the Bank’s operational systems, ensuring their secure and accurate processing.
• Manage the operational aspect of customer relationships by resolving issues and coordinating support and guidance efforts.
• Analyse, recommend and communicate pricing structures for accounts within your area of responsibility.
• Identify ways to optimize operational processes, increase productivity, improve service quality and exceed customers’ expectations.
• Oversee the processing, operational, servicing and/or accounting duties performed within your assigned area.
• Handle issues escalated to you and work with higher levels to resolve them where necessary.
• Ensure all treasury operations are executed in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Mitigate operational risk and identify suspicious transactions by applying your knowledge of relevant operational manuals, AML processes, sanctions, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Cultivate a high-performance team by inspiring your team members while fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability and inclusion.

What you need to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in Treasury, Investment Banking and/or Banking Operations.
• Good understanding of Treasury Operations, financial instruments and related banking processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, operational risk and relevant compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Experience in improving processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
• Previous experience in leading teams, with a focus on accountability, development and continuous improvement.
