Data Governance Architecture Senior Specialist

Purpose

As a Data Governance Architecture Senior Specialist you will be  responsible for developing the data modeling and architecture strategy, providing the approval on data architecture solutions and all the necessary artifacts for an effective data management.

What you will be doing

•    Recommends the Bank’s data architecture processes, including Information Architecture deliverables and artifacts.
•    Collaborates with business stakeholders to design and document data modeling optimization of existing data architecture processes, whilst evaluates data management platforms and solutions.
•    Develops policies, rules and regulations, to determine the method data are collected and stored, integrated or used through data systems.
•    Oversees the documentation of the definitions of the key data elements, compiles and updates the list of key data elements, as determined by the business data owners of each data domain and oversees the documentation of data lineage for Critical Data Elements.
•    Works closely with Business Analysts to understand data requirements and defines best ways to deliver business value more effectively. Safeguards Data Governance requirements, participates in projects that introduce new information.

•    Ensures controls are in place over applications to ensure data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
•    Coordinates the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with business owners and ITOM.
•    Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Data Glossary of Terms (in collaboration with other Business and IT Roles)

What you need to have

•    A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics or relevant fields
•    A Master’s degree in Business Intelligence or Data Management (preferred) 
•    At least seven (7) years of working experience in the field of data and analytics, including experience with systems architecture methodologies
•    Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
•    Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
